Every Runnit workspace has its own web address, such as
yourcompany.runnit.io. That address is where you sign in, and it is where
your work lives.
If you know your workspace address, go straight to it and sign in there. If you have forgotten it, you can find it again with your email address.
Sign in when you know your address
Section titled “Sign in when you know your address”- Go to your workspace address, for example
yourcompany.runnit.io. - Enter your email address and password, or choose your sign-in provider if your organisation uses one.
- Select Sign in.
Find your workspace with your email
Section titled “Find your workspace with your email”Use this when you cannot remember your workspace address.
- Go to app.runnit.io.
- Enter your email address.
- Select Continue.
What happens next depends on how many workspaces your email address can reach:
| Workspaces found | What you see |
|---|---|
| One | You are taken straight to that workspace’s sign-in page, with your email already filled in. Enter your password to finish. |
| More than one | A list of your workspaces. Choose the one you want and you are taken to its sign-in page. |
| None | The sign-up steps, so you can create a workspace with the address you just entered. |
Sign in with Google
Section titled “Sign in with Google”If your organisation signs in with Google, you can select Continue with Google at app.runnit.io. When your account reaches a single workspace, this takes you all the way into it without a separate password step.
If you already have a password on that account
Section titled “If you already have a password on that account”You can use both. Which happens depends on the address on your Google account.
- A Gmail address that matches your account. Google is connected to your account there and then, and you are signed in. Your password keeps working, so from then on either way in works. You get an email confirming that a new sign-in method was added.
- A work address on a domain your organisation has verified. The same thing happens, for the same reason.
- A work address your provider did not confirm. You are sent to your workspace’s sign-in page with your address already filled in. Sign in the way you normally do, and Google is connected as you do. You have ten minutes and it works once, in the browser you started in. If it lapses, you are still signed in, and you can connect Google from Profile → Sign-in methods whenever you like.
- An address on a domain your organisation has not verified. Google cannot be connected, and you are told which domain is the problem. Sign in with your password as usual. If you want to use Google there, ask an administrator to verify that domain first.
If you cannot get in
Section titled “If you cannot get in”- Nothing found for your email address. Check for a typo first. If the address is right, you may have signed up with a different one, for example your work address rather than your personal one.
- You are told the workspace needs single sign-on. That workspace no longer accepts passwords. Ask an administrator there to invite you, or sign in with the provider your organisation uses.
- You have forgotten your password. Use the password reset link on your workspace’s own sign-in page.
- You ask to reset your password and get an email saying there is nothing to reset. Your account signs in with a provider and has never had a password. The email names the provider to use on your workspace’s sign-in page.
- You are told your account has been deactivated. Signing in again will not change it. Ask an administrator at that workspace to reactivate your account.
