Billing and subscriptions

Runnit organisations start on a free plan. When your team grows past the free limits, or you need features that come with paid seats, you upgrade to a team plan billed through Stripe. Billing lives in Admin → Organization Settings under Billing and account, in the Subscription panel. You need to be an organisation owner or an administrator with billing access to see it.

All prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. Tax is calculated at checkout based on your billing address.

  • The free plan covers up to 5 members. Image and video generation are not included; they need a paid seat.
  • On a team plan, every member holds a paid seat. There are two seat types you can buy directly: Go (US$10 per seat per month) and Pro (US$25 per seat per month, which includes Studio access).
  • Enterprise seats exist for larger organisations and are arranged with Runnit directly rather than purchased on this page.

Client workspaces you manage for your clients do not consume paid seats. The seat count applies to your own organisation’s members, including invitations that have not been accepted yet.

  1. Open Admin → Organization Settings and select Billing and account.
  2. In the Subscription panel, enter your seat mix in Go seats and Pro seats. The total must cover every current member.
  3. Choose Monthly or Annual (2 months free). Annual billing charges ten months’ price for a full year.
  4. Select Upgrade. The button shows the exact price before tax.
  5. Complete payment in the Stripe checkout that opens, then return to Runnit.

When Stripe confirms the payment, the subscription becomes active and Runnit assigns the purchased seats to your members automatically. You can change the mix at any time afterwards.

Each seat type shows a row with how many seats you own and how many are assigned, for example “4 of 5 seats assigned, 1 spare”. Enter a new quantity and save the row.

  • Adding seats charges the prorated amount for the rest of the current period straight away.
  • Reducing seats takes effect from the next period. You keep the use of the seats you paid for until then, and the next invoice reflects the lower count.

You cannot reduce below the number of seats currently assigned to members. Remove or downgrade members first from the License column on the Team page.

If you pay monthly, the Subscription panel offers Switch to annual (2 months free). Confirming charges a full year now and credits you for the unused part of the current month. The renewal date shown updates to the new annual cycle.

A subscription is either all monthly or all annual. Seats and storage packs you add later follow the term you are on.

Under Storage packs you can add extra storage to your plan in fixed pack sizes. Packs are billed with the same term as your seats. Removing a pack follows the same rule as reducing seats: it stays available until the end of the period you have paid for.

If a pack you own is no longer sold, it is labelled Legacy storage pack. You can keep it or remove it, but it cannot be added again once removed.

To see how much storage your files actually use, open Storage.

Select Payment method and invoices to open the Stripe billing portal. There you can update the saved card and download past invoices. The saved card is also what auto top-up and one-click credit purchases charge. See AI Credits.

If a change you made elsewhere (for example in the Stripe portal) has not appeared yet, Refresh status re-reads the subscription from Stripe.

If a renewal payment fails, the subscription shows Payment overdue and the panel names the date the grace period ends. Fix the payment method in the Stripe billing portal before that date.

  • During the grace period, everything keeps working.
  • After the grace period, the workspace becomes read-only: everyone can still sign in, read, export, and download, but changes are paused until the payment goes through. Nothing is deleted.

Select Cancel subscription and confirm. The subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then the workspace becomes read-only. Everything stays readable for a retention window shown in the panel, and resubscribing at any time picks up where you left off.

  • Inviting a member past the free limit asks you to upgrade first.
  • Generating images or video asks for a paid seat for the member making the request.

In both cases the message links straight to the billing page. Upgrading removes the limit as soon as Stripe confirms the payment.
