Brief Status
Brief Builder drafts and projects have related but separate lifecycles. A brief can still be edited before handoff, while its generated project stays a draft until a person activates it.
Brief workflow states
Section titled “Brief workflow states”| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | The brief is being prepared or has not entered a review workflow. |
| Internal review | Your team is reviewing the brief before it goes to the client. |
| Client review | The brief is with the client for feedback or approval. |
| Activated | The older brief record has moved into delivery. New Brief Builder handoffs instead create an official draft project for review. |
| Done | The brief workflow is complete. |
New briefs start as draft automatically. There is nothing extra to set up. A brief without an explicit status is treated as a draft.
In the current Brief Builder flow, Proceed to Planning creates a draft project and archives the source Brief Builder tab after successful assisted planning. The project remains Draft while you review its tentative schedule. Choose Activate project from the project workspace to begin live work.
Where it shows up
Section titled “Where it shows up”Brief status drives where a brief appears on the Kanban board: draft briefs and draft projects sit in the Planning column. Active projects move into In Progress. Moving a compatible card between columns updates the status of that record.
