Project History

Every project keeps a complete History: a timeline of significant events, newest first. Open the History tab on a project to see what changed, when, and who made the change.

History records events across the project, grouped into categories:

CategoryCovers
ProjectLifecycle and status updates, including archiving and unarchiving.
BriefUpdates to brief content.
TaskTask creation, updates, status changes, and deletion.
CommentComments on tasks.
AssetAsset uploads, updates, and deletions.
TeamProject members added or removed.

Automatic actions appear with a system label. For example, a project archived by the auto-archive schedule shows Auto-archive as the actor instead of a person.

History is the complete record, so it also logs routine automatic events such as AI column fills and dependency reschedules. Summary views like the dashboard’s Project Activity panel skip those and show only the larger updates.

The History tab is built for quickly finding a specific event:

  • Search across titles, descriptions, task names, and the person who made the change. Results update as you type.
  • Filter by category to focus on, say, only task or asset events.
  • Filter by event type for finer control.
  • The timeline loads more events as you scroll, so long histories stay responsive.

Each entry shows both a relative time (such as “2 hours ago”) and the full local date and time.
